Mark was born and raised in Berks County, Pennsylvania and has been involved in fire and EMS services since 1980. He currently serves as Deputy Chief of Special Operations for the Township of Spring Volunteer Fire Department. Mark received his education from Wilson High School, Penn State University, Northampton County Area Community College, and the University of Maryland. He holds an Associate’s degree in Fire Technology, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Education of Industrial Technology and Fire Science. |

He is an instructor for the PA State Fire Academy, the Department of Health, Reading Area Community College, and Bucks County Community College. He is a certified firefighter (FF-III), Fire Officer (FO-I), Fire Service Instructor (FSI-I), Fire and Explosives Investigator (CFEI), Fire Inspector (CFI), Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). His work history includes corporate security, industrial emergency response, safety education, public safety inspection and code enforcement. Mark is also a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Society of Fire Service Instructors (IAFSI), the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI). |
